Light Yagami gets my vote for All-Time Bastard

I've been following the 'Death Note' episodes on [adult swim] and after tonight's episode was where (click to show/hide)Takada is kidnapped, and then set aflame by Light, via notebook.
I don't think I've ever seen any character in anime or movies as cold-hearted and black-souled as Light Yagami in this series. Not even Michael Corleone at the end of 'The Godfather' could beat this. Maybe it was because he was portrayed more favorably at the beginning.
Anyways, now to watch Code Geass next (also on cable)...

Yeah, light is a hero, but he is doing the right thing wrong way :(

If you want to do what Light does you have to make sacrifices, mostly in terms or other peoples' lives. I thought that what he did was the right thing.

I kind of have a love hate relationship with the character. He is kind of cool sometimes and sure he is smart but overall he is just a bastard.
