He was a bastard, but I love the fact that he never relied on self-pity or didn't cry about useless things.
What counts is that he's not emo, he has a plan, and hes determined unlike 90% of anime protagonist males. ;)

Also, L was so much cooler than Near. Mello is annoying and just sucks, I hate him.

Discard all episodes after L's death. L dies and Light shapes the world in his image. That is how the story is supposed to be! >:( >:( >:(
The quality went down after L's death and the story wasn't just that interesting anymore.

also, the ending was fucking random, it had nothing to do with Light (The way they found that his friend had a deathnote)
