Uh, no they aren't. While in case of DN you could argue that there was no "bad side" or "good side" (none that mattered at least), Lulu is definitely the good guy. He's dirty and underhanded, but think Dirty Harry.

Definitely agree. Lelouch wants results and he wants them NOW, and that's something being all politically correct and afraid of getting your hands dirty won't do.

Lulu has repeatedly shown concern for a number of people, even those that can't help him (although this is rare). Light on the other hand, while a good guy and a bad ass, is also a bastard. There isn't a single person whom he doesn't find expendable. He is as cold and heartless as they get...which is also one of the things that makes him so awesome.

I wouldn't recommend watching anything after the first arc. The series died after that.
