Okay, well before you have a mod lock this thread, could you tell us what you ended up doing?
I'm still in the process of doing it all, so I'll have to get back to you on some of it.
Do 50 push ups, 50 sit ups, 50 lunges on each leg, 50 squat kicks, and 15 minutes of skipping with a rope.
I'm doing the push ups, sit ups, and lunges in sets of ten. I don't have a rope, so I'm doing jumping jacks. Today I've completed 20 of each, and have not yet started the jumping jacks.
Imagine doing something on that list of things you know you won't do.
If that fails, you can imagine yourself imagining doing something on that list of things you know you won't do
I've imagined myself raping geoffreak. Seriously, you asked for it.
My brother is in the same situation. I don't know what your usual forms of entertainment are, but have you tried walking around someplace? Maybe sleep? Make some biology problems and answer them (I do that with physics and math). Get familiarized with Linux?
I've taken a nap, booted Knopix 3.6 on my computer for the day (I know it's old, but my burner is busted and that's the only copy of Linux I have), and developed a simple experiment even a child could understand that shows how a perception of free will might have evolved in a determinist universe.
Laundry basket down the stairs!!
You won't die... or get injured that badly..
If not, you could find new hobbies or browse some more websites... like wikipedia or uncyclopedia.
I don't have any stairs, but I did get on Wikipedia and refreshed myself with the principle of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs.
well, im not really interested in whatever you plan to do..
but what is this new job that you just started..?
A temporary job stocking at a local grocery store.

I found one about a year ago. Never got the time to look for more...
Edit: In your case it would only work if you already have a GPS, since you're too cheap to spend money on entertainment.
That sounds fun! I might be able to borrow my dads GPS thingy, and this would also take care of the walk mentioned earlier as well. My dad is rather busy today, so I might not be able to borrow the device today.
As for the bored part. Get a book about something you like and go read it .
I was going to dig out my old Genetics lab book and refresh my knowledge on the principles of genetic drift for the purposes of my experiment mentioned above, but I think I turned it in at the end of the semester and never got it back. I'll probably fulfill this one by reading another chapter in my Plant Morphology text in preparation for the upcoming Fall semester.
Pick up classical and fluid mechanics, learn some C/C++, write a model for fluid motion simulation. If you have a CUDA-capable video card, try to make it work with CUDA too.
And do a writeup on it
(You asked for something to do, and I happen to think that's pretty fun...)
This, in my opinion, will be the most difficult. We'll see if I can get that done by the end of the day.
