i only have CS:S cd set. but dont know how to play the game

If my previous CS:S experience is still valid (they could have updated it again and made it shitty, happened before), the Carbine and Ak 47 reign supreme, don't fool yourself into getting the cheaper rifles. AWP and Scout rifles are great for camping, the first being better for people who can't get headshots. Glock is shit sucks, Nighthawk is great, default CT pistol is fine. Never forget to get the bullet proof vest, the helmet is good, but not a must, never buy the infra red thingy, waste of cash. As CT, consider buying a defuse kit if you have enough cash.
Camp first, only aim for the head when you are sure you can hit, don't keep the button pressed while firing, do it in 3 shot bursts, try to aim for the torso. Don't stall the game by camping, unless you will win this way. Always scream "BOOOOOOM HEADSHOT!" into the mic every time you get a headshot.
