Blade of the Immortal. I cound't find this anime, they say that the manga was very good.

does anyone know whats up with the manga? i was trying to do some research into it since im about to watch the anime and i dont get how long it is. If i check wiki it says its like 24 volumes with 20 or so being released here in the states (checked amazon only see up to about 20 out)

so i looked online and found a site that has them up.. up to 152 volumes o_O wtf? err how long is this thats a huge discrpency in volumes, anyone know how long this really is and if its still going or what?

I have read the anime butchers the source material, though if you have not read the manga you should find it enjoyable. I think I may check out the manga.

ya tnx. One thing though i noticed that one you linked is a bit off. I compared it to a couple others i had found and their numbering is wrong or something. volume 11 which should include chapters 66-72 is not shown there. chapter 66 is something else. Its a violent arc with the rape and torture of a female character (looked it up after friend told me about it) thats pretty damn graphic. for some reason that site doesn't seem to have it there

i fliped around randomly and they have it at chapter 55

which makes me wonder wtf is up with their order listing. im trying to find a definitive guide to what volumes have what chapters in them, or maybe the volumes changed the order up?

has a lot of them by volume (with beasts being volume 11 like it should) and i found another site similar to the one you linked with the same problem at chapter 55.. so im just confused as hell. i just now realized this wsa the anime thread when i did a search in the manga thread i must not have had the filters on for it. I'll go ask over there, but curious if anyone knows of a good guide to the volumes out there. its gonna be hard reading through it flipping back and forth all the time

I tried watching it before and while the concept seemed fucking awesome it just seemed so boring even though stuff was happening
