Jigoku Shoujo Series (NO spoilers)

haha I wondered if this thread existed, god I watched it recently and it was just sooo repetitive for me, it was just the same thing over and over again. I mean when I was watching it I was thinking of Shigofumi, similiar kind of situation but atleast in that anime the plot turned away from the whole job aspect and went into it's main characters story.

Whereas in shigo shoujo (click to show/hide)all that ever happens is just repetitive scenes of people being punished, there was SO little about enma herself, it focused way too much on her job role, that should have been a side-story to help build up the character but it didn't and it was a continuous good person either punishes after thinking about it (which eventually turns out to be "yes he is bad, take this" or "oh i'll try to forgive" (but in the end always punishes). I mean it didn't even vary much in the situations where you saw them be totally forgiven.

The anime was like that constantly right to the end except for like that last 2 episodes where it actually did focus back on enma...
I also had the got the 2nd series and it started off exactly the same, nothing new really changed (click to show/hide)except for the introduction of some weird little girl, but I haven't gotten that far
And in the end, I just decided to put it on hold like many of the animes that tend to have lost my interests (and I'm watching Natsume Yūjin-Chō series; really good)

psyren:
I would just like to post my thoughts on this series.

I'm getting rather sick of working on it, to be honest. Some of the characters are downright retarded, and others... could be traded for broomsticks/mops and still fulfil their purpose.

Basic run down of any given episode:
(click to show/hide)Blah blah blah.
Problem.
Blah blah blah.
Person with problem finds Hell Girl. Gets doll.
Blah blah blah.
Problem arises again.
Doll is used.
Hell Girl appears.
Hell Girl: blah blah blah.
Victim: Oh noes! Blah blah blah.
Hell Girl: blah blah blah. Go to hell.
End.
Next victim, please.

Psyren pretty much summed it all.

Also I haven't really noticed it that much with the anime that I've recently been watching but it was very obvious when I was watching Jigoku Shoujo, the amount of replayed scenes continously used was getting annoying, and I thought they didn't do that anymore :/

i.e. (click to show/hide)Cuts to Enma before revenge, puts on her dress flicks her hair on one side and then flames appear with the whole moaning man-cart appears which the same scene.
Damn AniDB rating it over 7.5 D:

Tatsujin:
Well ........... I'm enjoying the anime because of three things.

1. Enma Ai kicks ... kicks, kicks ass!

2. Revenge!

3. Different story arcs ~ Even if its the same thing or similar events.

Tatsujin:
Episode 21 ...

(click to show/hide)Pisses me off. This series is one of those retarded series that keeps going without a slight change of what's happening in the series. Why didn't he adopt Yuuko? I'm just irritated as hell. He's a closer person to her father and yet ..... and fucking yet ...

Anime like this really piss me off. I wonder if Mushishi is like that, too (haven't seen it yet, only 4 episodes). I know Darker than Black is like this and it's even worse.
