I am not a CSS expert, but can't you use @font-face or similar, so users without those fonts installed will see them properly? Sorry for the OT post.

You can specify a font-stack, which is a list of preferable fonts (or font-families). The difficulty lies in finding something with similar metrics, since that's what causes the issue. We can probably do better in this than we are at the moment.
There's also font-embedding now, but we don't really want to host a font.

I think the "accept PMs from friends only" function is broken. I tried sending a message to another user today who definitely has me on his friends list, and it said rejected. Could you look into this?
