I would have listed a bunch but if i have to choose one:

Samurai X - Thrust and Betrayal OVA

- It have proper story, with characters that need no lenghty introduction.
- Seems pretty realistic, from the setting to the characters and swordplay. (Iam not japanese tho, so what do i know)
- No supernatural elements
- Good music and animation

To me it comes off as something someone put alot of thought and effort into making.

Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust

Seen that about 5 times, and that's saying something. My favorite non-anime film Ronin, I've only seen twice. I also listened to the soundtrack to Bloodlust about 65,000 times as well.

I haven't really rewatched any anime apart from Dragonball Z since I used to watch it all the time when I was wee. It feels like I've at least watched most of it 3-4 times now.

Like many of you, I have several series I have watched several times, Like Bebop, FLCL, Azumanga Daioh,xxxHolic, but I would have to say that number one is Fruits Basket. I even had my family watching it.

For me, I've probably seen Trigun and Escaflowne 7-8 times each.
They are the oldest and first "true" anime series that I've ever owned.

I generally only watch a series one time, nowadays.
Although I'll watch an incredible series twice, just to pick up on anything I might have missed the first time.
(Elfen Lied for example)

I'd have to say Ai Yori Aoshi. I loved it so much I just watched it several times for the love of it. Sometimes you just need that kind of cute true love kindof thing.

I did manage to watch Gundam Seed Special maaaaany times, but that's just cause I encoded it, so I don't think it counts.

I have def. seen FLCL so many times that by listening to the Japanese audio version, i know exactley what they are saying in English and know exactley what is being shown on the screen. That, and it's so short, you can watch it in a night.

I've watched Akagi twice...

Outside of that, don't think I've ever gone through a series entirely more than once. Think I got through most of Irresponsible Captain Tylor a second time, but don't recall finishing it again.

I often watch random episodes of FMP Fumoffu, Ichigo Mashimaro and Hyakko when I'm in the mood for a good laugh. Other than those comedies, there's Kara no Kyoukai which I've been watching over and over again, because I just can't get enough of such greatness!
