thats the squad that was mentioned in the flashback arc where the one captain gets promoted to zero squad

i have this ongoing assumption that ichigos dad is from zero squad thus explaining his shinigami powers and nobody knowing him

yes, as far as I remember. when a captain get's too powerful they can get promoted to the zero squad.

they dont give a full detail of what they actually do but im assuming thats at least one of their duties and every single member of the squad one would assume is at least on par with every other captain of the gohei 13 if not stronger.

that would be interesting to find out. we never really get to see squad one's lieutenant, and if they did show him fight I don't remember how strong he was.

IIRC He was one of the three lieutenants that Ichigo insta-defeated back in the saving Rukia arc.

I also remember him being similarly useless in one of the filler arcs but I'm not going to look for that.

Over-interpretation ... when Aizen talked about the Soul King he called it 'that thing' and Urahahara commented on it 'so you've seen it' implying it's probably nowhere near humanoid

Atm all things seem to point to Quincy/Hollow hybrid's ... Arrancar's were Hispanic themed so these 'new' hybrid's will be German themed (Japan has a fetish for anything Spanish and German apparently...)

Wow, this chapter had actually a good pace. Interesting things and stupid ones were shown

First things first!
NEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who would have thought that other side chars actually make comebacks in Bleach! But with her appearance and the current development I don't think I like the direction this all goes, namely an alliance between Soul Society and Hueco Mundo.

Harribel: Apparently she kind of ruled Hueco Mundo after Aizen's defeat. I just found out that she was healed by Inoue when one of her minions brought Inoue to the battlefield. And where did I find that information? Bleach wiki which mentions a character book as a source... Shouldn't something like that be in the manga?
When I saw her comeback I first thought, "Lame, trying to garner some fans by letting the hottest of the former enemies return as a victim?" But after reading about the above mentioned it might have been different. Who knows.

And lol@the death of the lieutenant of the 1st division. Not something I actually care about as he was never really fleshed out... Does anyone know where in the manga(!) his Shikai was shown?

I don't think this will become a true alliance between SS and Hueco Mundo but rather like the Vizard situation: "The enemy of my enemy is my friend".

Yay for Nel and Harribel, I liked both chars a lot and was a bit disappointed that they got so much background filled in during the deicide arc and then simply vanished, especially nel.

For the first time since the end of Deicide I am actually really excited about bleach.

6 months of cutting back and forth between 5 battles and a lack luster ending to the manga that doesnt close any plot holes or explain any questions everyone has

This new and final Arc is so weird i can't even get what's going on! everything seems to be happening fast like kubo is on a hurry to end the manga shows halibel then jumps to Ichigo and then Ichigo goes straight to heco mondo again! and as soon as he arrives they attack soul society!it's a repeat from the Arrancar arc but this time with Quincy!and ofcurse the speed of 3x! my guess is this time Kubo will kill some of the characters this time along the bad guys...

So Kira is dead, and now Byakuya too? Surely this is some sort of hoax like Invasion of Pain with Naruto. It sure helps this arc feel final if they are indeed dead. And Kubo has gotten ill. Sad because I was looking forward to 503 for a few seconds after seeing Zaraki meeting their leader.

I doubt byakuya died, if he were to die tite kubo would make it more heroic.
By the way if you remember Ulquiorra said Rukias reiatsu vanished in hueco mundo and she is alive so i wouldnt be so sure about it yet.
And yes i wanna see Zaraki fight their leader, it seems he is most useful captain at the moment.
