I'll wait for subtitled releases of the first few episodes to make a decision on whether or not to drop it. It looks like it might be interesting even if they do continue to use cheap tricks to avoid showing any violence on screen.

I was afraid of that. But will still check it out.
Kurokami the Animation (Black God) is one that I'll be following. No lack of violence here... kids aren't even immune.
If looking for great fight scenes, here ya go:

im with stsin, dled and watched first ep of kurokami and liked it alot, they introduced several elements that will make for an entertaining story and a badass little girl.
(click to show/hide)And a deadass little girl at the end of the ep teehee

Geh, I'm kind of torn on Kurokami... On one hand it has pretty good fight scenes, nice enough animation and good art direction. On the other, after first episode it establishes itself as "anyone can die" show, thus succesfully preventing me from caring about any of the characters for the rest of the series. (click to show/hide)But the street splattered with loli intestines was... awesome disturbingI wonder how fast is the dojikko childhood friend going to get killed...
Plus the huuuge emo potential in the protagonist, the drama, and rather dumb premise. I kind of hoped that it was going to be this season's Ga-Rei, but it seems it was a vain hope. I'll watch few more episodes before I decide what it's worth.
The first episode of Rideback was good, character designs are much less annoying than I thought. If the political side won't be too dumb it's probably going to be a good series.
Tried watching first episode of Chrome Shelled Regios, stopped halfway, since it felt like a waste of time.
Stsin:
The first episode of Kurokami is very similar to Shakugan no Shana. As for it being an "anyone can die" show, Shana too has the girl that had a crush on him die and disappear and being forgotten by everyone (worse than death IMO). I expect most first episodes being more extreme than the rest of the series, just to be an attention getter. And Ga-Rei: Zero's first episode was more of an "anyone can die" show than anything else I've seen.
I too liked Rideback ... motorbike and ballerina? But can't really tell where this is going from just the first episode.
Sora o Kakeru Shoujo seems like a nice parody. Cute animation with a lot of smooth CG set in the future. And with Lelouch as the AI of the colony ship, it has some character. First episode was okay, hope it gets better.

I was unimpressed by the Rideback trailers, but 1st ep just sucked me in. Nice pacing, good sensible character design, typical Madhouse animation quality. And hearing the Fuego growl just made me wish I had a motorbike again :_;
In short, ex-ballerina in white dress riding humanoid bike = win (for now, at least). Oh, also, enjoy Fuego's bootup BIOS (696GB SATA storage :O)
touch panel to run config utility <-- DO IT!
