That kid need to watch episode 25 of the first season again and the first 4 episode of second season.
I feel sorry for Exia...Once the Exia GN Drive was removed they just Through it away!!!! I would have at least keep it around for it to be fix.
I can understand why he would think that, Exia was just a copy of 00 and Exia buster cannon was just an copy of 00 Razer. But it also tell you that in the end of the first season.

i just finished (re)watching Gundam 0079
and what i noticed is that the idea of the gundam having several parts
that get assembled, is redone in seed.
also my favorite gundam would have to be Seed, because of the story
but over all i love ALL gundam series.
if i look at wing and seed, seed wins it for me
and not because of how it looks or anything, just the story
grabs me more then that of Wing.
it's a shame not all gundam series are available on box :(
UMMX:
I will agree with you Seed is little better wing. I will say that I had high hope for 00 but because of what happen in the last episode..... I am losing hope for it.

I *tear*ed. ): And the guy who quit Gundam 00 because of the Throne Gundams, keep going. I know they pissed me off. *evil grin*
Anyways, I don't think anyone's really touched up on this, but Gundam 00 seems to be for Gundam Wing what Gundam SEED was trying to be for the UC Gundams. At least that's what people on other sites/discussions have been insinuating. Myself, I've never seen UC because of the lower quality of animation and I've gotten through about 4 episodes of SEED before putting it on extended hiatus until I'm bored enough to try again. That said, reading through this forum's sparked an interest in me to hit up UC, especially since so many of you are of the opinion that it trumps SEED (and every other Gundam), regardless of animation.
I also went through Gundam Wing and I'm inclined to agree with a lot of your complaints about it--i.e. cardboard characters, slow-moving plot, rehashed animation cycles; I think while I was going through it, I asked myself a lot of times why I was still watching it and what all the hype was about. Still, IMO just like Gundam 00 has done and continues to do, the plot really kicks off in the second half--when the storyboard designers either had enough build-up to actually craft a better story or (and this is what I think) when they eventually realized that their audience hated the 2D storyline and decided to throw logic to the dogs and just throw in random stuff that ended up becoming a pretty captivating story. And then the mech designs for Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz just took the cake.
I'm a real fanboy of Gundam 00, maybe because it's also slightly reminiscent of Code Geass and the good points of Wing, but I hope it ends up with a better ending than Wing did--oh right, the whole "Foundation" idea and the master plan of Aeolia Schenberg is also something straight out of Isaac Asimov, which I had the good fortune of reading before starting 00. [on a side note, if you liked Dune, read Asimov's Foundation series up to the point where he decided to merge his other two series and bank the hell out of what he'd written for decades, effectively mucking up ALL three at once. Damn capitalists.] Also, Gundam 00 seems to focus less on what Gundams look like as opposed to what they're capable of doing, which sucks for eyecandy and modelers, but it gives the story people a lot of things to play with. Instrumentality~ho!
Also... G Gundam is like.. the Tengen Toppa of Gundam. I figure it's random implausibility is made up for by the battles, Shining Finger, the really badass major antagonist, and an awesome brother. It's one of those guilty pleasures people (men) like to watch just because it's so "hoo-rah." Testosterone yay!

Ok, so I started to pick up on alot of gundam series lately because i really got into the dynasty warriors gundam game. After watching the 0079 movies I got hooked. Even if the animation is dated the plot was good enough to more than makeup for it. I went on to watch z and zz which were much more entertaining although it took me a little while to warm up to zz. I hated the opening song for zz at first and thought the series started out kind of kiddish. But I loved the way all three series connected together.
Now im wondering if i should watch all the episodes of 0079 if i missed out on anything i didnt get in the movies.
Also I seen wing back in the toonami days, going to rewatch it at some point. I really enjoyed turn a, pretty good quality animation, nice plot, and i enjoyed the characters the most. Ive stalled on X and V. Ive got G, 00, and seed waiting to be watched too.
Another thing Ive been wondering about is wasnt it pretty stupid of the the design of zz to have to combine using 3 piloted parts? if the parts are seperated and you only have one pilot then your SOL and cant form the suit quickly. Even the docking sequence needs the 3 parts to be piloted, if anything the sequence should be auto pilot enabled. Anyways a mobile suit should only need 1 pilot, the more people you need to pilot it the more complications there can be. Same goes for power rangers, not that ive watched them since the original one.
