I actually liked the 1st episode too, its ending was pretty interesting and a bit unexpected. And yeah, the rest of the anime was average, except the ending, which I think everyone agrees that it was the best part of School Days.

I liked the entire show, considering it's based on eroge it was done very well, and no other ending was acceptable.

so i hear everyone hyping up this anime and i decide to download it. just watched first ep. well, from what everyone's been saying, and from what ive seen, this might just be the first anime i ever marathon. its 2:30am where i am but this anime is very enticing. should i do it?

man i feel like throwing up. just finished my school days marathon. i can't even explain in words how this anime made me feel. it was good, just not for me. gotta watch the ova's now on principle.

yea there's no defending it. makoto turned careless which kinda makes sense the way everyone turned out. im just very surprised it was as mature as it was. it was set up to be some shounen harem but after a sex scene or two, it totally blows any presumptions you had about this show out the window. quite a unique and beautifully made plotline.

but overall, this anime's tone is something that's just not for me. as another poster on this thread, i found myself cursing the whole way through. what i want to know is, why would anyone want more of this? i was planning on buying the vn from jastusa, but now, i dont want anything more to do with this anime. also may i inquire on fridge horror?

not gonna lie though. last ep, when seikai is txting makoto from the other room "im sorry" then says farewell, i got CRAZY goosebumps. also that part on the roof, when kotonoha exposes the saw the way she did, it was very much expected of a horror scene. and looking at makoto, its just despicable. at the scene where kiyoura lets makoto have her just so he can just be with sekai, i really pitied the characters.

Basically it's when it suddenly dawns on you after it's over how you managed to get through at first sight, a relatively normal arc unfazed, then when you go to do something else... BOOM revelation!

am i the only one who liked sekai and thought katsura was the psycho one? (well give or take it is their fault katsura turned out the way she did, but come on, thats your way of dealing with rejection? she shouldve taken a hint.)

thoughts on makoto and sekai. you think they couldve worked things out?

lastly you think makoto couldve turned himself around if he wanted to?

1- doesn't matter anymore.
2- it was played out badly from the start, the passive and indecisive Makoto made everything go bad from start.
3- yes if not for above.

basically this show was built to give us a taste of the game actually, if they included ero parts more like in Yosuga no Sora, this would have been far more entertaining from the fanservice, instead of showing how stupid kids can be, lucky us they did it exactly the way it was meant to be an anime adaptation of the game, there is a lot of teenage horny business going on in there, without the ero details alone it was very amusing seeing how every single world was shattered and crumbled at Makoto's feet, he brought all of this on himself because he was an idiot that didn't think of consequences of his actions, if no.2 applied, he would live a happy life with any of the girls he put his dick into.

Fortunately this turned out into possibly the best show you can drown yourself into.

Even if you had experience with women/men, this show is the only way to prove you are no longer a virgin, it breaks through your skull like a drill, and leaves you with distaste for mankind, for a day, then you realize "man, this is only anime, but it sure makes an impact"
and that is precisely what it was meant to do, leave a big enough impression on you that would make you think often about it.

i like the first answer. so you think it had more to do with her own selfishness than to keep makoto from sleeping around? to me, it looked like makoto was the only one enjoying himself. but to think that kyoura was getting anything out of it opens my mind a little. she doesnt really seem that way to me, and it looked like makoto was taking advantage. but i think youre right.

from sekai's pov, dealing with makoto was helpless and maybe killing him was the only redemption for him. there was absolutely no getting through to him.

on a side note, its quite interesting to see how easily makoto was able to seduce otome and hikari especially.

and here's what i think is the coup de grace of this story. i have no doubt that she was pregnant. to think she would actually fake it is beyond rational thinking. does anyone actually think she faked it just to get closer to makoto? if you do, how do you explain all the motions she was doing on her stomach and her announcing it in class? and please dont mention anything about her being cut up. im gonna puke.

i think i need a hug after watching this anime...

also i have to say im a sekai fan because makoto could just be himself around her, and around katsura, he really had to try hard and put up an act. i think sakai was sweeter because of that.
