It is a great moral story. Guy screws around. Guy ends up with problems and people with problems around him, doesn't that teach him morals? That screwing around has to be done well or not at all, a great moral.

Considering there is a harem ending in the game he could have got both of them if he just played it better. Moral of story, don't hide the truth, try for both openly or only one if you don't care for the chance of losing both and yourself.
