Sorry, but combining an ecchi anime with a horror/angst anime doesn't work for me and the story suffers from this.  If they stuck to the horror type aspect, it might have been good.....but like always, out of place/overused ecchi ruins everything that has to do with story.

I feel like crying and laughing at the same time  :-X

I'm doing the same considering it looks like you strongly think otherwise.   :P

Finished watching Gantz a while ago but I can recall the countless times I said "STFU and go on already" in my head/ out loud.  I still remember "I used to pet my dog" line lol.. entertaining briefly in a weird kind of way.

Yeah, they dragged some scenes on WAY too long.

Ever disliked a character and thought it would be great if he dies?  Gantz does that, lol.

Not on my favorites list, but nor on my worst.  It's a show about fanservicing violence.  Didn't expect much else from it, plus it's ending is typical of series based on ongoing mangas/novels.

gantz the series, as far as i know (1st 2 ep) is a load of garbage. low budget animation, terrible adaptation. i would recommend to not watch it, but it seems that some people like it. go see for yourselves.

Yeah, I remember that too, T_T.  I think the worst in my experience was Slam Dunk!  I love the show to death, but they stretched out some of the games so badly that I had to skip episodes because I wanted the story to progress faster.

I have a high tolerance for shows that drag on... but seriously, in POT, they acted as if they had amnesia every time a move was used by Ryoma. I was actually yelling at my computer out loud and screaming at those damn chars to STFU.

Gantz did get kind of annoying at points, but when the action hit it was hardcore awesome action... most times.

Gantz is good Anime the last 6 episode may have been fillars but it was good to see his teach naked. I was hoping to see them together at the end.

The manga is better but the end of the world story is so old but at least it will be bloody...

Aight so the appeal is that u get to see his teacher partially nude for a split second.  And the series is suppose to be about the end of the world?  I'm not being a smart ass just want clarity.  Ima need-ta-know kinda guy, ya know?

the appeal is it's mindless fun.  not everything has to be an amazing work of art.

So I have to accept the fact that it is a waste of time to enjoy it?  Cuz I damn sure didn't have fun saying "FUCKING SHOOT HIM"  "FUCKING DODGE" every 10 seconds.  I mean I can enjoy something that's all action and no brains but did the standing around and watching everybody die not bother u?  Especially the last mission.  Only 2 ppl should've died if they acted anything like a real person would.

It's not Ernest Hemmingway, it's an anime.  I'll also say watch Brain Powered; Gantz will become a great memory, I promise. It's like paying to go see Pluto Nash at the theater or Judge Dredd.

its mindless fun, has a kinda cool premise but has been flamed many times for its ending.

The violence isnt unnecessary its perfectly welcome in fact, the level of gore they go to on top of the violence at times is pointless but its still entertaining.

This anime is definitely worth at least a watching if you enjoy a standard action anime and dont expect the deepest plot line or best developed characters

Manga is even worse. Much worse. The plot is fairly interesting and the setting is unusual, but after a few volumes it turnes into some crappy absurd trash with all that aliens, beasts and dinosaurs... Don't waste your time.

The anime is better because it ends just before the worst begins. So it's not as bad as it could've been.

Come on it the end of the world game. I like the fact they show the teacher naked in the anime, In the book they dont even show her at all. Yes the anime is about end of the world, but they stop it before then, an change it mean to just survive in the world.

Also the manga has worst then that in it beside nake girls. They show even gantz member rape and fucking aliens, virgin get rape by alien then getting kill, headshots, Talking vampires. It the end or the world!!!! I hope the gantz team goes all out and has and alien rape manga chapter!

That would be great!!! The gantz team shows up to find all the men in town and dead and there a long line of women being fuck by the alien giving birth to more aliens..

I can't believe what you are saying! I thought the anime was really crappy compared to the manga. The animation wasn't very good, but it may have been my copy of it. The story is not as in depth.

The anime had some differences, but that was a good thing.

I think the appeal of Gantz is that instead of watching your main chars always kick ass, you get to watch main chars die off. It's the same type of appeal as Battle Royale. Watching the demise of chars you hate, and chars you like.
