Reminds me of a discussion on an old BBS forum, and was surprising to see the amount of hate for sports.  Like saying the money should be spent elsewhere, etc.

Watch out, I'm about to go on a tangent.

I did research on high school and university football. In high school, the city and state pay for most of the expenses, with ticket sales covering only a token amount. At the university level, ticket sales are significantly increased. Ticket sales, along with tee shirt and other memorabilia sales, help cover landscaping and other costs that I would otherwise be paying through my tuition. The benefit of university sports outweighs the cost of high school sports.

From an economics point of view, I am all about school athletics. I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole, otherwise.

My tower's name is Morgia, my Laptop is Araeja and my mobile phone is Anyria... THUS I named my forum name after my Computer [the old tower back when my Nick came into existance already had the same name]... is that a mentionable thing? (ah yeah... my N-Gage was named Anchodra)
planned names for future hardware: Haruka, Aryllin ... basically these names were all my role-playing characters once so each piece of hardware has a storyline (except for Morgia)... and uhm... I sometimes even sleep beside Araeja because I take her into bed (comfortably watching some...anime) and then when I'm too tired to take her away she just gets the other set of bedsheets that I'm not using when I'm alone (I rest her on the pillow but don't cover her up since I'm afraid I'd roll myself onto her at night if she's under a bedcover) ... erm... am I sick? ^^

I'd like to add here that sleeping beside Araeja comes basically from lazyness... and she only gets the other side of the bed when my boyfriend's not with me 
So it's not like she's the only one resting there XD
BUT recently I spend all of my nights with BESSY... she's an electron storage ring and gives out some nice eV worth of synchrotron radiation. (That's indeed the real name of the thing...not one I made up)
