It semms that windows 7 can be downloaded from internet already. I`m not adding any links because it would be to other torrent site, wich means it can be downloaded via torrents.
I haven`t downloaded it yeat, but my oldest brother says it works very well (even if it is the beta version), and it is faster than vista or xp, downloads automatically all drivers, games work well with it etc.

Lupin:
i'm planning to get the public beta that's going to come out at the end of this week.

a friend of mine got it right away because he has a msdn account.

my first impression of it: looks like an optimized version of vista

iindigo:
I've heard that it's what Vista really should have been, considering the massive amount of time spent developing Vista.

I've also heard rumors of the final release of Windows 7 following a subscription model where the user pays a different amount monthly based on what parts of the OS he uses. It's unknown how true the rumor is, though.

Still no new filesystem, so I don't see how it's what Vista should have been.
I'd be shocked if they did a subscription system for the typical consumer, but not at all surprised if they do it with the business version.

I used the pre-beta for a while, and even in that state it was better than Vista, IMHO. Looked the same, but ran significantly faster and was more responsive.

I'm looking forward to the public beta. Word is it's released tomorrow, and will work until 1st August 2009.
