yea because its software that millions of copies are sold so development cost is covered VERY quickly and then its like zero cost and a little bit of updating

I'm suprised. It seems windows 7 is improving. I don't even recall dling any updates either. (with less BSOD).

Overall, 7 isn't too bad. I'd still take the functions of ubuntu over 7.... but as a secondary OS to dual boot, I'd say that 7 is a good choice and it sits right there with XP.

EDIT: I'd like to also mention that 7 doesn't try to fuck up the other partitions like Vista did.
