Windows 7 and general bitching about OSes

As for UI, I wish you could have at least three different GUIs. The "classic" and its themes, something "Mac-ish" and the Spartan Special.

What do you mean by icon box? The area that windows are minimized to? If so, then yes the OS X dock features that. Windows are minimized to icon form to the rightmost side of the dock, between your documents/folders and the trash.

I agree about ubuntu, but I wouldn't be so sure about OS X. It might just be because I'm an inquisitive type when it comes to OSes, but I learned so damn much in the course of using OS X.
Before OS X came out, I used Mac OS 9 like every other Mac user out there. I knew how to use it well, and I could mod its system files with ease, but when it came to using any other OS I was pretty dumb. Commandlines of any type, for example, were a huge, frightening void.
Then OS X 10.0 comes out. It's slow, doesn't have many apps for it yet, and is still buggy, but damn it looks a lot nicer than OS 9 did. It could also run more than one or two apps at once without crashing (unlike OS 9) - "what a revolution!" I thought to myself. Because of that, I stuck with OS X despite the bugs and reduced speed.
Since then, I have poked around in the internals of the OS many, many times and have become very familiar with the commandline. In fact, many of my daily tasks, such as uploading stuff to my web host via FTP and torrenting, are done completely with the Terminal. I'm starting to lean towards it for file management too, since it's at times faster than using the Finder or any other UI. OS X also acquainted me with a lot of terms that OS 9 just didn't bother with.
So yeah, it actually taught me a lot.

I have windows 7 intalled now on my other computer, it looks very good, it works faster and better than windows XP and all the programs seems to work fine too.
I really think that windows 7 has a bright future, compared with vista...

I personally am in love with Windows 7. I am currently using it as my main operating system and I like it a ton more than Vista Home Premium. I have not had any crashes yet since I have installed it which is more than I could ever begin to say about Vista. Upon the installation all of my hardware (including my new TV tuner) were all recognized and installed automatically, while both Vista and XP required me to install drivers that were not included. That's a big selling point for me as it's one of the biggest annoyances for me when installing an OS; having to go through and locate and install the drivers that didn't come with the OS installation after installing it. I also love the superbar's new minimized window and window preview setup. Not only does it make porn much easier to hide while it's open...it also makes the screen much cleaner and I love being able to hover over a window icon and see it maximized on my screen without actually switching over to that window. I actually found that it makes doing homework for online classes a lot faster.
I am hoping they end up releasing Beta 2 and the RC's to the public once they are done, but if they are anything as good as Windows 7 is, I am sold. Microsoft will definitely be getting my money on this one....assuming they don't add it to MSDNAA and get it to me for free ;p
