Uh... Getting Windows 7 RTM via the legit channels isn't that hard.

MSDN, TechNet and MSDN-AA had their chance of getting 7 since the beginning of August. That aside, you can get the legit Windows 7 even if you don't have access to TechNet, MSDN or MSDN-AA by attending some of Microsoft's Windows 7/Server 2008 R2 Launch events in the US.

Oh, I meant getting the full version legally. And I have been using RC1 on and off, currently using it since my XP disc doesn't work anymore and needed to re-format.

Those events, what thing are you talking about?  A chance to buy the full version? Or getting it for free? (<- doubt it)

What happened to your previous avatar with the cat and that green soldier hat? =[ Can I have it?

The versions given to Technet, MSDN and MSDNAA users are full and legit versions.

About those events, they won't sell Windows 7. They may give away free copies as prizes. I recently attended one. If I remember correctly, MS has an event where you can get a chance to get Windows 7 Ultimate if hosted a Windows 7 launch party in your area.

Actually they said that they're going to give it away at those launch events. Don't know if they changed their mind or not...

I got win 7 RC, had my first stall a couple minutes ago. All I did was click on a thread in another forum, when it was almost done loading it stalled and I had to do a manual shutdown for it to work again.

That's the Release Candidate, which still had some minor problems. Get the RTM.
