Hell of a lot cheaper. But then you wouldn't be able to re-format as many times as you'd like, right? And agreed with all of you, many pirated OS's are just bad, the only reason why I went went with Vista Ultimate for a while was because a guy I know was able to lend me a version, and Win7 because I used the RC1. When I get win7 it'll be a working one for when I get a new laptop...

Getting Windows 7 RTM via the legit channels isn't that hard.MSDN, TechNet and MSDN-AA had their chance of getting 7 since the beginning of August. That aside, you can get the legit Windows 7 even if you don't have access to TechNet, MSDN or MSDN-AA by attending some of Microsoft's Windows 7/Server 2008 R2 Launch events in the US.

And I have been using RC1 on and off, currently using it since my XP disc doesn't work anymore and needed to re-format.Those events, what thing are you talking about? A chance to buy the full version? Or getting it for free? (<- doubt it)

I got win 7 RC, had my first stall a couple minutes ago. All I did was click on a thread in another forum, when it was almost done loading it stalled and I had to do a manual shutdown for it to work again.
