I'm not saying there's anything general wrong with Firefox, it just doesn't work well on my old laptop anymore when I have XP installed. ;D

I'm too much of a FF fanboy to just switch browser. :P though the times I've tried using it I did like the compilation of websites you've visited in the past on your home page.

I had some issues with AHCI.
events ordered by date and time:
Installed x86_64 RTM with AHCI. First boot failed. Always hang at AHCI BIOS.
Googled about it.
The hard drive with Win7 seemed to hang the Intel AHCI BIOS for some reason. Remove that drive and everything is fine.
Did a complete wipe(write zero) on the offending drive.
Switched ICH10R to IDE mode. Installed Win7. Booted fine.
Connect the drive to on-board Gigabyte SATA controller in IDE mode, switched ICH10R to AHCI mode.
Boot and install Intel drivers.
Put the drive back on ICH10R. Everything is fine now.
Lesson: Don't install Win7 with AHCI enabled.

Both 32 and 64-bit versions will be in the standard retail packages, I hear.

Though I will more then likely be getting OEM, I figured they would do the same thing as last time with them and separate them. Also it does look as if so.
