Both 32 and 64-bit versions will be in the standard retail packages, I hear.

Though I will more then likely be getting OEM, I figured they would do the same thing as last time with them and separate them. Also it does look as if so.

What's AHCI?
Natheria:
Advanced Host Controller Interface Is an Intel SATA controller that helps make multitasking better (don't feel bad i had to look this one up too).
--- Quote ---
1. Supports NCQ (Native Command Queuing) allowing SATA drives to accept more than one command at a time and dynamically reorder the commands for maximum efficiency.
2. Supports hot plugging of devices
3. Supports staggered spin ups of multiple hard drives at boot time

Gosh, I don't get mine till the 22nd. And I pre-ordered it too and have already received confirmation emails.
As for AHCI, read the reverse, in that it's better to install with it on, than trying to turn on/install/configure it later. Why I've been postponing it till I install the retail version. Hmm.

Just upgraded my studio comp and installed Win7 Ultimate 64 (Full Retail).
Loving it! Virtually no bugs or problems so far.
Time will tell...

I already said, the first time I installed x64, AHCI was enabled. Even in the first reboot, the Intel AHCI BIOS will freeze at drive detection unless I unplug that hard drive(it will freeze just before showing the detection result of the SATA port it's plugged into).
I should also mention this did not happen with Vista x86 and x86_64 installations.
