If you really wanna bawl your eyes out, watch Clannad the movie to find out what happens. Warning though, it's VERY sad and might ruin your experience watching the rest of the show.

Oh god, the movie was so incredibly....ugh I don't think I wanna spoil it for you. Just hold out until After Story is done, then watch the movie, and you're gonna be a little screwed up for the next few days.

I love the original Clannad.

I've downloaded every Afterstory episode (so far).
but, I'm holding off on watching it until it's all released. (it looks like march 26 is the final episode)
I prefer having marathon watching runs with series like this
Haven't seen the movie either (didn't want to spoil afterstory)

Man this is exciting...

I agree, I think it is just too blood insane to sit and wait for an episode on a series like Clannad. I'm just gonna batch download every single one after the last episode is released.

Edit: After further research...
it looks like they are complete, but its not "officially" released yet.
I can't tell whether that's a full beta patch floating around...or only a teaser...

The patch hasn't been released yet, though they've been at 99.999% for a while already.

However, a patch that takes it's base from TWH-Sprocket-BakaTsuki's work has been released for a good while already, and can be found on HongFire. Do note that it will only work with a certain version of Clannad, because that's what it was made for. This version of Clannad is an unvoiced version that has a voice patch extracted off the PS2 version. You're gonna have to use that if you want this TL patch. Let me know if you need links.

Basically, the situation is as so:
Baka-Tsuki has not released their official patch yet.

However, another patch is floating around the internet, that was one of Baka-Tsuki's pre-release scripts. It has a number of errors, but is playable. I'm playing using that patch.

However, that patch will only work for one version of Clannad, which is a non-voiced version with a voice patch (extracted from the PS2 version).

It took me all evening, but I finally got Clannad up and running.
(I ended up having to do a mish-mash of patch files from multiple sources)
But uhhh.....yeah...I'm playin' it.
Full Voice version...
In english.

Will this game spoil Afterstory at all?

Also with full voice version, do you mean the new one with 800x600 resolution or did you just patch the original version?

Not just finishing all their routes, but getting all the "Lights" too. I think there's 7 or something before the other 13 (or some other number) in the After Story part.

@Cubensis55: Easy. Did you have to copy an extra "KOE" folder in? If you did, then you patched it. If you didn't you have the Full Voiced Version. Mine is patched, using audio from the PS2 version.
