I like the series and all this talk makes me want to finish the second season 'After story', but now I'm apprehensive I don't need to be tearing up at an anime. Crap I should have skipped this thread.

I swear that anime literally rips the tears out of my eye sockets. I cried like a baby for almost a whole minute watching episode 18. True touching stuff right there. I feel so upset and sad right now.

tbh, the entire last half of the episode had me going. The truth of what his father was doing for it, him and Ushio crying in the field. Finally talking about Nagisa on the train.. 3 heavy hitting things right in a row. That just can't be allowed anymore.

Yeah that episode was so wonderfull yet so sad. i really couldn't keep the tears in there.
btw wasn't that like ep 18?

FUCK! it should be illegal how sad this anime is. this is comparable to 1 litre of tears, which is without a doubt the saddest thing I have ever seen.

I just kinda sat there for awhile at the end of it. I really couldn't describe it. Can't believe 22 is the last episode either.

Having not played the game I think I'm going to avoid any topics on AS for the next week. I have my own ideas, but I'm going to play it safe and avoid any and all spoilers for this. Same applies to Toradora now that the last novel is out. (I think)

22 was the last episode for the first season too. Then they released two specials. One aired the week after 22 ended (the Summer Holidays Special, commonly dubbed as episode 23) and one on the last DVD (Tomoyo Chapter).

I've been watching the fullscreen versions and rewatching the widescreen version later on with a friend of mine. After seeing some of the widescreen ones, I kinda wish I had waited. Too late now. >.>

The WS version is behind the regular one because of availability of the raws, nothing they can really do about it, if it hasn't aired they can't get a raw.

They're still too slow. The BS-i broadcast is only 3 weeks behind, so therefore only 3 episodes behind. However, Eclipse have only just released episode 17 of the WS versions, when the TBS broadcast has already finished episode 22.
