There are enemies where changing a dress sphere is the only way to fight it actually, like the ones immune to any magic or physical attacks. Main quest enemies were not even hard to fight, but some of the enemies on the side story were really something to be scared of. Vegnagun compared to Paragon was like Fire fly in FF8 compared to ... Ruby weapon in FF7, it's that much of a difference. Fighting Paragon and changing you dress sphere in the fight was a mistake every time.
Do you have such enemies in FF13 ? where even on capped level you can get owned wit ha 1 second lost for thinking ?
Remind me but isn't FF13 turn based ? like FFX ?

The game's combat system isn't okay if the only time it works as intended is against a special optional boss fight.

...What? You can't really believe that? Any FF game before 8 has tougher regular opponents than 13..

Cuz both 13-2 and versus are going to be shit that looks nice.

Honestly, I used to consider Final Fantasy games buy-before-review type games 100%.
Ever since Squaresoft became Square Enix...it's just gone downhill. They've turned their backs on the type of gameplay that made all their money and fame in the first place.
I'm not getting any new Final Fantasy game until its heavily reviewed and/or in the bargain bin for 20 dollars.
