Winter Sonata huh. I know plenty of people who loves the Korean drama.
I wonder if they'll do Summer Scents as well, the music there is amazing.

Not really a new announcement, from last December, but the Eureka Seven movie will be released this April as well.

It only shares characters, screenwriter, and some parts of the production crew with the original show.  It looks like an alternate universe setting, rather than a remake, sequel, or supporting story.

I found this new chart on the internet, including all OVA's for this spring, and some anime that weren't on the first chart.

(Click for full size)

Looks good for me, or at least better than last anime season.
Lots of 2nd seasons I'm gonna follow :)

Just the first episode with the season 1 DVDs.  The second season will be a summer show.

Just think of it this way; Summer 2009: Spice and Wolf 2, a proper remake of FMA heating up, the possibility of Haruhi 2, Hayate no Gotoku 2.  Yeah, this summer is going to be the shit.  Hopefully something new and unexpected comes along to elevate it to even more extreme levels of awesome.

And while we're waiting, we'll have some stuff to take our minds off those series.
K-On! sounds fun, Saki might be interesting, Queen's Blade is possibly full of win, Eden of the East (Production IG!) and Shangri-La look promising.

Gonzo is handling Saki and Shangri-La, I'm not too concerned about Saki, but Shangri-La has the potential for a major Gonzo disappointment, if their past forays into this field are any indication.

There's going to be more Koihime Musou?

Dare I suggest Code Geass R3/Nightmare of Nunnaly?

That's a little too speculative.  While S&W2 hasn't actually been confirmed for Summer, the producers have indicated that the series will continue shortly after the release of the OVA.  And the timing, right after the second run of the first season, along with all of the cryptic ads for the second, is right for Haruhi 2.  Code Geass 3 is just a pipe dream.

Good thing, because right now, I am not acquiring any new series- nothing catches my interest at the moment so I have been downloading some of my favorites, and in far better quality so it's a win for me.

I've got to agree. Code Geass 3 just can't happen. I know that suggestions are abound in CG R2 that Lelouch wouldn't actually die (even if you killed him...), and there have been a ludicrous amount of rumors (and shooped pictures) that hes the one driving the cart that C.C rides on at the end. But unless Sunrise is going to go for a filthy cash grab then CG 3 just doesn't seem likely, CG 2 tied up pretty nicely and I think that the series is most poignant if you just accept that Lelouch dies. Hes kind of a tragic hero that way, in his death he atones for a great deal, and bringing him back (which CG 3 SURELY WOULD) would detract from that. Imagine if another Cowboy Bebop came out and

As for what I'm looking forward to in Spring, continuing with Hajime no Ippo - New Challenger of course, but for new stuff I'm going to check out Cobra and Guin Saga (haven't seen a fantasy show in a while, might as well try it). And I'm shamefully looking foward to DBZ remastered, if not only for the nostalgia value. Its been about a decade, after all, since I bought Freiza saga subs on VHS tape from a sketchy seller over E-Bay, and tried in vain to understand Spanish dubs of DBZ on the international channel, how was I supposed to know who Cell was? That was the dial up days! Ah... The old days.

Will anyone be following Canaan when it comes out? There's some serious star-power making up the cast. Miyuki Sawashiro and Maaya Sakamoto as leads, with Junko Minagawa, Rie Tanaka and Mamiko Noto supporting.
