That's what I thought at first, too, but I kept wondering my "Friend Songs" section in the "Online Scores" area was always desolate. Turns out you have to go to Online Scores, on the bottom click on the "Friend Scores" tab, and then hit "Add Friend". When you register for Audiosurf scorekeeping you're given the opportunity to make up a new username just for Audiosurf, and that's the one that shows up next to the "logout" button. For some people, like me, it's different than their SteamID. (My SteamID is DrewMcDuffy, but my Audiosurf name is ASCDrew.)

Anyway, turns out there's full Xbox 360 controller support (with rumble and everything). Instead of encoding videos like I should be, I've been screwing around with that for the past half-hour. It's a lot of fun (and I nice break from being hunched over using the mouse).

I've encoded a few more that I'll upload later, but this is a special occasion so she gets the spotlight first.

Also, this is my first HD encode, so I'm still trying to tweak my encoder settings. Quality is going to be a little wonky until I get it figured out.

ninja mono ironmode stealth.... fuck, guys, fuck! lol

Right now im just at pro mono level, and I only get stealth on it once in a blue moon.

And from the look of these videos they don't use the widen ability to grab large clumps at once either. I hate risking that i'll miss a few by not doing it.

From the looks of it though, it looks like what you really need to do on this mode is grab a few grey blocks intentionally and then use shruiken to make them disappear from your queue so you can get large quantities piled together at once.

maybe its just a bug, but everytime i try ninja mono in ironmode my left and right mouse button doesnt do anything

If that can make you feel any better, Drew often not use Ironmode and still manages to get insanely high scores that I can't beat even though I get Stealth on Ironmode. I'm not sure how he does it but it drives me insane.

You lose the Shuriken and Widen ability when on Ninja Ironmode.

It's all practice. I've put way more hours into the game than I should have. I started on mono casual just like everyone else.

I know it's kind of unrelated, but has anyone tried "The tallest building" on ninja mono? It's a remix of the megaman 2 intro theme, and im fairly certain it's impossible. http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR00761/

I just look at it, collect about 20 grey blocks at the beginning and go "O_O". Anyway, don't mean to derail the topic from anime songs here, I was just wondering if anyone besides me and had given it a shot.

I just improved my score on "Don't say 'lazy'" from 122k to 131k. Of course, I'm still 5k away from Drew and 9k away from Arveene.

PS: I vote that this thread is rename so to include all songs, not just anime ones.

Impossible to... Stealth? It's possible, if patient enough. I just completed it on Ironmode. When you said it was impossible, I expected far far worse. If you want something impossible, try "God knows..." trance remix. that one's insane.

EDIT: just did 206k on it, which is the second best score

This old fart decided to fire up Audiosurf again after reading this topic. Thought I'd try and see how I measured up. Well, that was a bit of shock. I'm nowhere near as fast as you all. First I tried to blame the mouse sensitivity settings (where do you all put that?), but then I chalked it up to my deteriorated reflexes.

But it is fun, so I'll spend some more time finding good anime songs. I did really like the OP and ED of Bounen no Xamdou and God Knows...
Although it will be a while before I start stealthing my Ninja Mono runs...

i finaly stealthed ninja mono, i even made a video.
but the video was bigger then 4gb, so fraps made a second file with the end of my run, problem now is, i dunno how to make 1 file out of it.
i tryed avidemux, that didnt get any error, but the video was still in 2 parts.
first file ended with .avi and the second with .avi01
tryed virtualdub and ended up with a 11gb file

used mediacoder to make the files smaler and used avidemux again and couldnt load the files, same with virtualdub

would be cool if someone could help me with that

You can use virtualdub, but after you load the video and append the 2nd segment go to video and switch from full processing mode to direct stream copy. Do the same thing for audio, but I think audio defaults on direct stream copy.

thanks for the help, but i got it to work, changed the compression in virtualdub, got a 400mb file and reencoded it with mediacoder
