I think that they should have a list of songs, one for each round.

That would avoid genre bias and help identify a singer with true talent.

I also cant sing either...thats why I want to be a judge. Im not an asshole about things but I will say I didnt like it base on the singing. If the singing was bad I will say it wasnt good. I just wont say insulting things

by the way i think we should have more judges for this since there will be people all over the world and this makes several type of musics besides the USA musics.

I've decided that there's gonna be 5 Judges.
I was contemplating 3 or 5. But decided on 5, so that it's a more definite decision split and there won't be any un-even answers.

Are you sure about that? 5 seems a bit much to me.
I think in the review process there would be far too many opinions flying around.
I think 3 would be perfect. It's easier and more straightforward.
But, it's up to you guys.

btw: keep me in mind as one of the three judges

(8 years of music composition/production, excellent sense of pitch, realistic when critiquing)

The point is to make people feel less bad about getting rejected if the vote is 3-2 rather than 2-1.

BTW: 12 years of music experience, perfect pitch, performance critique based on experience and conducting.

naw 5 should be enough. more the merrier. less bias. more broad.

so the questions that needed to be answered is...

audio is a must (duh!) but should submission of videos allowed?
pro: not only do you hear songs, you might get to watch some entertaining vids
con: if you do watch a great vid, that might act a big negative for a good singer with only audio.

execution:
the quality of audio difference between people who sang with background music on default window recorder and those who sang with nice mic and had time to add their vocal track to karaoke versions of songs.

vote/criticism:
who gets to vote? only judges or everybody? i'm assuming that only judges can critic (with "professionalism" or w/e). if voting is enabled to entire box peeps, should there be limitations? (members who have uploaded more than ___GB or have ___ post counts or eliminate who joined a day before, in order to prevent people from registering just to vote)

4-1 and 5-0 just means a more definitive "you suck" and anyone who does that poorly probably didn't expect to do much better.

And zoidy, in order to register forum accounts I think people need to have a BxT account and if they have more than one BxT account they get suspended =P

arrgh... ouch... you still remember that... *dies of shame* but... I think I still have the file somewhere on my disc... although I hid it with some weird name from getting discovered by my boyfriend O_O

anyways... I think 5 judges will be OK as well... because all people who want to take part should be well aware that this is nothing professional and that we shouldn't take this too serious

Let's just have fun and make clowns out of ourselves to get some bonus upload... it's all for the dough, right?
