I would just like to say that anyone who thinks Ergo Proxy sucks is stupid.

There's gotta be at least one person here who thinks it rocked (read: has common sense)

I haven't finished it, because I got sidetracked watching Nanoha (shoot me), but from the first few eps I can tell it's good. Though I keep hearing that it tries to do too much, I tend to disregard comments like that because, in life, if shit happens, lots of it tends happens at once.

I started to watch it.
Then dropped it. It was too slow and boring for me.

I liked it.  ;D
Amazing animation. Like...maybe the best I've ever seen in an anime.
Great storyline/idea/concept.
The music is awesome.

Critiques:  The ending was way to fast.  It was kinda like a punch in the face.
They explained everything you didn't know in the last episode, and it was far too much info.
It would have been better if they had spread it out over a few more episodes.
I also would have liked to have seen more romance between Vincent and Real (that's their names if I remember correctly)
Romance always creates more angst and drama in these kinds of stories.

Ah, it's still on my hard drive somewhere, I think.

I stopped after the first episode, my friend mentioned there was a moe character at some point, so I was considering going back to it. I can't take too much darkness with anime, not for 26 episodes.

It takes itself way too seriously to be particularly dark.  Entertainment is much more disturbing when abject suffering can elicit the occasional chuckle.

I liked it. I want a 2nd season or something tho', the ending left wide open.

It's such a deeply philosophical show, though.  That's kind of my main point.  And, I think the ending was perfect for the story, and got the point across.

Eh, something like NGE had philosophical themes without summoning Marilyn Manson forth.

Pino is adorable though.

I would just like to say that anyone who thinks Ergo Proxy sucks is stupid.

I really liked it - it was an interesting thinking show.  It definitly wasn't a fast mover, so anyone that is expecting a lot of action all the time would be disappointed, but for someone who is interested in the deeper story line of Ergo Proxy would probably like it.

The animation style was a bit wierd for me to get used to at first, but eventually I felt really comfortable with it in the show.

It was - to me - almost like watching Noien.  A complex show with a lot of levels that isn't for the casual watcher.

I have to say Noien was much better.  No stupid fillers and it didn't reach as much as EP did.  Hopefully they'll actually do a season 2 and do it right.

Now, I'll admit - I did like noien more then I liked EP, but I did like EP for what it was - although you are also right, some of the filler could have been removed.  (kinda like all those recap episodes that happen in most anime - not like I need a recap on what happened just 8 episodes ago...)

Whats wrong with Marilyn Manson  ???

This.

Don't watch Texhnolyze then because its much slower paced than Ergo Proxy (and yes I liked Texhnolyze too).
