Beck
Takeshi:
Oh man, it's been a while since I started a series where I thought: "have to watch more episodes!".
I've been stalled at episode 2-3 for a year or so, and then I started and watched up to episode 9 in one go. On ep 11 now.
Lol at the engrish and lousy animation. The CGI too.
Too bad the entire franchise wasn't animated. It's going to suck when I start reading the manga. I read a bit and it seems the main character has been striped a bit of his funny facials in the anime. He's a bit more emo.
I am of course not reading the first posts in this thread so I am sorry if I am being redundant. I don't want to get spoiled.
Oh, and I so feel like picking up my (borrowed) guitar and start practising, getting to rock it out on a scene like that being able to make such sounds = awesome.
Though I am surprised at how many volumes are left when the anime ends. A total of 23 volumes!
I remember the year of 2007-2008. I started getting into a bunch of bands.. Nightwish, Lostprophets, Skillet and Story of The Year.

I would still welcome an OVA or mini-series of this show. I still have it on the HD in the "DO NOT DELETE" folder....

Let me tell you that if it wasn't for K-ON!!, BECK would automatically have the title of best music anime. EVER. Plus I will agree that the ending is actually quite satisfactory considering how much longer the manga goes for (which is QUITE a trip in itself). The character personalities really are fleshed out, while the engrish makes some sense but also has a hint of that hilarity factor. All in all, a great series, and I hope that they make the anime so it goes to the end.

Beck is great on so many levels! The characters, the animation, the music, everything is great. Some times the "engrish" feels a little strange.... especially when they are singing but it in no way takes away from the series. I just started watching recently so I haven't made it to the end but I've been hooked on this one all week. It's funny how much this anime motivates me to pick up my guitar and play more often....
If you're a music fan or are looking for a good anime and haven't seen this one yet you would do well to check it out!
Is it worth reading the manga as well? my big draw is the music but the characters have really sucked me in and I keep hearing the manga takes the story further..
Tatsujin:
Live Action! Omg omg!
