What books would make great anime. (manga not included)

There is a TV series for this book under the name of "Legend of the Seeker". It's in the first season with 11 episodes aired so far.
I found it disappointing though. After the first episode, it becomes WAAY too different from the book(s). Turns me off to any idea of an anime adaptation.

well, in anime, they can keep the storyline as is, make it a seinen show, and you kan keep all the sex and etc. in it. plus in japan they aren't such pissfucks like they are in america. so they could make the series shine like it should.

I def. agree with you. i love the eragon series, but i still havent read Brisingr. Anyway, back on topic, i would love to see the Legend of Drizzt Series or the War of the Spider Queen series as animes. they would make some kickass anime. Another good one wouuld be The Transall Saga.

=.= Holy what?! Eragon was such a ripoff. Lots of inconsistencies and blatantly stolen plots...
That said, it would probably make a better anime than that equally stupid movie. I mean the voice actors could really ham it up, like it deserves.

I agree that the movie sucked balls, but the books are just pure awesomeness... =) Even with your so called "inconsistencies and blatantly stolen plots..."... But that's of course just a matter of opinion... =)
