What books would make great anime. (manga not included)
cheezewhiz:
A Song of Fire and Ice is from George RR Martian right. Did not think that story was finished, but I guess they have enough to do start a few seasons though. That would be outstanding if HBO did them, Not like what someone did to the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. What did they call that piece of crap "Seeker of the Sword, or was it Warrior Seeker of Pathetic Dosh Bagginess"
Chiyachan:
David Eddings: The Belgariad story of a young man growing into unknown powers saving his world.
As far as I remember, the boy was failed, has his son stolen, had a reluctant wife, and ended up having to go to war.
The entire series was amazing though. 15 books? Or was it 10? Belgariad, then another 5 books.
But the "Age of the Five" and "The Magicians Guild".
They would also both make good anime.

I wouldn't want to see any western book as an anime. The style just wouldn't match anything western.
The same way I don't want to watch any anime as a western movie.
Those two worlds should never cross.
ett:
Dune,Dune Messiah and Children of Dune would make a better anime then live action.
KOP, EX-KOP would also make a nice anime. Most noir genre books could make a good anime.
I love to see a Isaac Asimov book adaptation anime The Caves of Steel as a movie would be sweet.
Sitio:
I would like to see Good Omens! ;D
It would be a crazy anime with lots of humor.
