Good news for New Zealand. That law was crazy anyway.

I'm amazed at how the whole piracy vs. copyright protection issue seems to come down to:

individual rights vs. corporations doing whatever they want.

The music industry has to put out better records. Stop wasting blanks with American Idol people.

The movie industry needs to be a bit more creative when it comes to releasing DVD's...and they need to come down in price by quite a bit. I can buy a used DVD at Blockbuster for 6 dollars or at amazon for less, but go to a mall store and they want like 20 bucks. Or, I could just download the thing for free since I'm only going to watch it once anyways.

I'm not sure I'd want to be an ISP manager these days. You're either seen as supporting piracy or terminating someone's internet because they may or may not have done something wrong.

On another unrelated note, I might end up buying a jolly roger for myself and hanging it up in my college dorm.

I'm pretty sure TPB is going to win. It's just a matter of details.

Actually the side that loses will appeal until they get to the supreme court. Everyone knows it will happen.

If the prosecution is as inept at the Supreme Court as they were in the original trial, then they will still win, and it will still be a matter of details.

In reality it is the lobbying behind the scenes. They may already be "working" the supreme court judges. I mean they got IPRED law. Obviously someone is affecting all that. I would not be surprised if MPAA suddenly won against all the odds and judges would refuse to give any comments.

Here I was hoping that the United States was the only nation that had lobby groups. How foolish of me.
