too funny.
Yes, good thing that trial was not held here in the US , the place where we sue,(McDonald's) when we spill hot coffee in our crotch (that's what the cup holder is for moron) because no one told us it was too hot!!!
And she won that case.

She won that case because she got second degree burns from the coffee. If coffee can cause second degree burns, it's too hot, and that's why she won the suit.

WRONG, if coffee is hot and your too stupid to realize it, someone has to tell you it hot or they can sue you. Prior to this lawsuit coffee cups did not have CAUTION HOT on them. So if your a fucking retard you can sue someone.

HazukiChan:
It was hot I agree, all the more reason not to place it between your legs while your driving.

bcr123:
Technically she won the suit because it was determined that McDonalds coffee was being served at a temperature greatly exceeding the commonly expected temperature for coffee.

In discussing the verdict, Wikipedia states:
"Applying the principles of comparative negligence, the jury found that McDonald's was 80% responsible for the incident and Liebeck was 20% at fault. Though there was a warning on the coffee cup, the jury decided that the warning was neither large enough nor sufficient."
