The Perfect Ending?

I thought the ending to geass was great. It was the happy/tragic ending. Making everyone believe the world was kosher, while also dooming the protaganists to their corresponding fates. I felt the few episodes leading up to it dragged a little, but the ending was perfect.

I don't think the ending would've been nearly as effective without the few episodes leading up to it, they needed to cool the tension down before raising it up again.
