As ACX kicked themselves out from here (asked none of their encodes be uploaded), the choice is much simpler, though we'll have to do without dual audio versions of Fantastic Children and Paradise Kiss...

For Planetes we'll have to do with aF, the main episodes are easy enough to find, but not all of their specials are even on their own bots...

Not having ACX's Fantastic Children encode is not much of a loss:

1) They cut out the next episode previews (which is especially unfortunate since the TV version didn't have them).
2) They left out the song/sign only subtitle track, making the encodes less useful for anyone who wants to watch FC in English.
3) The English dub sux to high heaven anyway, and this is the opinion of people like this guy who normally like or even prefer English dubs.

For Planetes, there was discussion awhile back about uploading the aF version, but IIRC it was decided not to due to wrong aspect ratio. Although I suppose that could be overcome by manually overriding to 16:9.

Not that it matters, but I took a look at ACX's Paradise Kiss, and I wasn't too impressed...jaggies/stairsteps all over the place, IIRC. At least they kept both subtitle tracks in on that one. Guess we'll have to wait for another group to release it...only problem is, I've heard that dual-audio groups have shied away from releasing series like Paradise Kiss and Planetes due to the existence of the HDTV versions.

As for GitS 2nd Gig, imo we should keep LMF's version if KAA's is uploaded, as the wiki/rules do allow for it. Supposedly LMF's release is extremely good, according to the AniDB comments, and it would be a shame to lose it.

If i knew ACX kicked themselves out from here, i would have never mentioned the ACX requests. So that means no Dual audio versions for Fantastic Children and Paradise Kiss.

And after reading Zalis's reply, looks like aF offer is also out of option.

So that leaves only the KAA request. Anybody willing to offer it?

KAA did the first season for Stand Alone Complex as well, which we also don't have a proper torrent for besides a4e's version. It would be nice to have both seasons from them up.

I am still not sure if ACX's releases are allowed or not, but if they are, can someone upload the ones requested in this thread?

For now, we'll avoid ACX. We won't remove the one up as of yet (waiting for Jarudin), but we won't upload any more either. ACX is fine, according to Jarudin.

Im getting the Paradise Kiss boxset in a few weeks, if there're any issues with ACX still by then, then i'll give a go at Ripping and Encoding it, though, beware my Upload speed is crap. (768kbit up (will be 1.5mbit 28th august though)

Anything above 5kB/s is fine. Doesn't matter if it takes a week to upload a series.
