One thing I've always wondered about Allison to Lillia is, just what is Allison sending or doing to Lillia? Is it like that one movie, "From Justin to Kelly"?
What really was missing in the anime is the realism ... No matter how good it is, for the way they set it up ... it should have had realism and that was a big let down. This show really didn't intend to target adult audience, but rather the younger groups like kids.

Black Lagoon anyone?

I ended up enjoying Allison to Lillia very much.

The anime would have been one of my favorites if only it:
(click to show/hide)
The only REAL problem was that last one... which in general is a sense that they rushed the end.

I'd love to see another season of this (with a script that didn't require suspension of disbelief quite so often).

I enjoyed it very much too. :3 I have to agree the ending was pretty rushed, but I think it was because they had to fit everything in 26 episodes. And your number 4 spoiler shows that Treize is actually a superman! LOL

About Hyakko, my problems regarding zoomplayer not playing shinsen's version well (like audio and video not in sync) totally ruined my Hyakko experience. I loved the ending though, at least something did develop from the boring early episodes.

Why don't you use Media Classic Player? If playing the video gives you trouble I can suggest some options, and it also works very well for instant snap shots with no lag and it will always show the subtitles too! Let me know.

Maybe you weren't serious, I can't really tell, but the title Allison to Lillia means Allison AND Lillia in English.

I wasn't being 100% serious there. But you'd think a fan translation group would've translated something that simple. Especially when there's an ampersand in the title graphic. Of course, this "not translating straightforward titles" problem isn't limited to this show or this group. In fact, it's such a pervasive problem that I assumed Tears to Tiara was just another untranslated [X to Y] title, when it actually uses the English "to."

As for Hyakko, I picked up the Coalgirls DVD version awhile ago. I don't know if it's better than the HDTV-rips, but it looks like the best-quality SD version out there, and thus the best version for me. I've only seen the first episode, but it looks pretty cute so far. Very much in line with the Azumanga / Strawberry Marshmallow / Minami-Ke / Hidamari Sketch type of schoolgirl / slice-of-life anime.

Got any old fansubs on HDD/DVD/CD? Please take a look at this thread.
