While it may seem like it's that easy, I don't think it is.
At such a stressful time like that, in that situation, you have to consider if you'd make the choice or not. You have to understand, you are in her position and only know what she knows.
The demon asked her if she wanted to live. He did not say she would be possessed by demons or anything else, just if she wanted to live. It's human nature to want to live, especially in that kind of situation... It may be noble to say you'd just let yourself die, but put in that situation... the majority of people would say they want to live.
In the end, I don't think a demon really
possessed her. She gained that ultimate power of hell that the other girls wanted, but she could control the demons. She wasn't controlled. I simply think that power corrupted her, such things have a tendency of happening... Take a look at Light Yagami from Death Note for instance. Besides, think about it... If the demon
was controlling her, why would it want to break the deal with itself? It wouldn't make any sense. She obviously wasn't being controlled, the power just got to her.
While there are certainly more noble choices and a lot of different characters I could have chosen, I feel that this one
fits me best, just as she is. If I could choose another willingly, I would, as I pointed out. But as for one that in the end I think I'd be... It has to be this one.
My choice one would obviously be a lot happier more innocent one (Kampfer :p).
If I was this one though, I'd probably have destroyed the book long before Minase found it, since I was the one that hid it in the first place. Once it was destroyed, nobody could stop me no matter how hard they tried. I'd destroy the book, and Miss Pure, Rika Shiraki would have never been deflowered. Instead, I would have taken her body for myself. That's the route I would have went. Although, thinking about it... I'm not sure. You do have to send them to hell in your place, after all. So maybe it'd be best to first choose someone you don't like for that initial transition, where the demon takes your soul. Then for the following ones (you living forever, seemingly immortal), I'd just choose whoever was prettiest, assuming their souls don't get taken as well, since the demon was already tricked and the contract completed. So, I guess any subsequent one would probably just go on to heaven or wherever they were going to go to begin with. That being the case, I would've first chosen Mika Ito since I really didn't like her. The rest wouldn't matter, since I'd probably wait 12 years or so before taking a new body, so I could stay young and pretty forever -- picking the prettiest girls of the time, every time. Oh, it would be grand...
Ehm... see why I fit so well as her? I'm just as dark and twisted.
