Does anyone know if there's gonna be a character album coming out for the series? I searched everywhere and couldn't find a damn thing. If there's gonna be one, I've got a feeling that the songs sung in the karaoke episode will be included. Hopefully. I really only want to get my hands on a full mp3 of the song Takako sung. Yes, I know, I'm obviously not right in the head.

I have to agree about that animation, it was really good. One of my favorites out of the last batch of anime I downloaded.

I'm planning to re-watch this. Nagi is soooo ... how do you put the words ... cute, ego, emo, and wild together? I dunno! Episode 1 was great, episode 2 and forward on was completely super great!

Really? I watched Shin-Genjo's DVD ep 01 side-by-side with Ayako's TV ep 01, and the preview sequence played out the same in both. I think I'll like this series... it may be by-the-numbers Sudden Girlfriend Appearance, but I can already tell the Nagi is made of win. Better hope she doesn't feel thirsty for knowledge from those "textbooks," Jin!

I think I'll also go with the DVD versions from Shin-Genjo. Of course, there's no surprise that they looked better than the Ayako (SD) TV version, but Shin-Genjo's subbing was more liberal. The basic content of the TL was pretty much the same in both, though.

Ayako's DVD version has a preview sequence. I've confirmed that myself. I was actually surprised, because I didn't remember seeing that when i watched it the first time, and I was like, "Why don't I remember this?" And then I realized that the TV version was just "Please watch the next Kannagi episode too", with a picture and the name of the episode.

As an added bonus, Ayako's release (Episode 1 so far) also has Italian subs

Subs didn't show for all of them for some reason. But you get the idea. This was in the final half a minute or so of Ayako's episode 1.

And by the way. The preview audio was talking about a car, owning a car, getting a license and then a pun about waiting for the time to come to get a car ("toki ga kuru" and "kuruma", etc.)

Strange, I wonder why Shin-Genjo's DVD version played out just like the TV version, then. Maybe this is one of those cases where rental DVDs =/= retail DVDs, and Shin-Genjo got the rental version that still didn't have previews?

It could be graphical to show on TV, for example ... blood or heavy gore.

It could be in sexual terms, like nudity (can be extreme!) showing body parts, nipples and such or extremely graphical nudity, close to hentai but doesn't enter that stage.

And it could be words that were censored.

I'm watching this, and it's okay, but it's definitely not the as good as I expected... I'll admit some of the character interactions are pretty funny, but that's about it.
