I'm attracted to glowing lumps of dust in space, and for some reason I replaced the -dots in polkadots with stars, no deeper intelligent reason behind it.

Originally, Corunes was some silly name I put together using a random Elvish name generator (I needed a name for a story, or something like that) and it just stuck. I don't think I could tell you what it means in "Elvish" even if I wanted, since I think the site the generator was on doesn't exist anymore.

Anyway, it was catchy and kinda cute, so I kept it. I thought really nothing of it, until basically one day I found out that there's a place called La Coruña, Spain, in the Northeastern portion of Spain. Out of curiosity, I asked my father where exactly in Spain my ancestors were from; he said Galicia, and, lo-and-behold, La Coruna is inside of Galicia.

It then occurred to me, in Spanish, "Corunes" could mean someone *from* the city of La Coruna; quick google search later told me that in fact "coruñés" meant someone from La Coruna... and who knows, I could actually have ancestry there.

But hey, coincidences aside, I'm attached to the name now, and here I am.

As a side note, I personally pronounce it Co-roo-nes. Some people say Co-roons, but I think my pronunciation is much nicer.

I agree, that pronunciation is a lot smoother.

It was a Friday night and the last member of our usual gang had arrived. We put away the Magic cards and turned on Netflix. Several hours later we realized that what had started as a few drinks and movies devolved into a My Little Pony marathon.

Are you a walking stereotype?

I'm gunna leave you anyway.

Let's just say my friends have a diverse set of interests. If anything, that's what brought us together in the first place. I think this was the only time I've seen My Little Pony, it wasn't my thing. As far as Magic cards go, I don't have the concentration or willpower to do anything but play with some of my friends every once in a while.

The world of stereotypes is far too complex and subjective for me to even imagine trying to fit myself to one. So whatever stereotype you came up with is probably not too far off.

Because when I had to register for the first time in a website 'Enjyu' was the first thing that popped in my mind and I thought it has nice ring. At some point it became my nickname in real life as well. And if 'Enjyu' is already taken I add 666, I go by that name pretty much everywhere.

I wonder what you guys put in your drinks^^ :)

If your change your nick, how will we know it's you? Do you want to become someone else to us? We don't want you to change, we like you, just how you are.

Well, but, I...Thanks :)

Although, it's not even my nick since I "borrowed" it from my friend when I was eleven.
...I'm not particularly good at coming up with names. My partitions have always just been named after how big they are, so I was flabbergasted when I realised that other people named theirs after their favourite fantasy characters and the like.

It'd be funny if they were all named Sephiroth.

I love vanilla. Vanilla is amazing. Vanilla cookies, vanilla ice cream, vanilla perfume, vanilla soap, christ I can't get enough. I remember a time during my first year in university, I used to use vanilla extract to calm me down after a stressful day. Anyway, during one of my food technology classes, we got onto the topic of vanilla beans. Turns out it's not vanilla that I'm in love with but the organic compound vanillin.

So, when I registered here a few days ago, I didn't want to go with my old username choices being that they were all  so nerdy (pentaborate, dioxyribonucleicaci d etc; I always thought they were convenient since the chances of having a person with the same name is slim) and they sort of created a barrier when I tried to talked to other users. But I still wanted it to be a name of a compound. I held had a vial of vanilla extract then, so I thought meh, why not use vanillin.

^ Finally a person who loves Vanilla. I am mostly surrounded by guys/gals who all are chocolate fans, and it's kinda rare to find who actually likes Vanilla.

And damn that's one hell of a nerdy explanation. Still a cool choice.

Hurrah to the vanilla crew. But I really don't mind dark chocolate either.
Oh and admittedly, that was kind of... nerdy.
