Well, he is seated amongst some Mongols in that scene. Don't remember if Robert E. Howard wrote that line as it stands.

I just wanted something unique and pretty. Then I thought of how cute and pretty origami paper cranes are. n_n They're often in animes and dramas, I thought of a favorite movie Unforgettable Love (with one of my favorite bands, DBSK [TVXQ] in it!) in which one of the guys talks about how he was left a paper crane every day by a mysterious crane maker. So... yeah.

Mine's surname + the year a "mighty warrior" was born.

Easily confused with a certain totally unrelated sword wielding maniac.

I've used plenty of different handles over the years, although I did use my surname, Hilander, when I started exploring the internet back in '95. Only trouble was that back then it was very unique and way too easy to recognise, so I had to change it into something more obscure and unrelated to my occupation. These days there are so many users that even a fairly uncommon surname becomes "noise" in the great river of ones and zeros, so I had no trouble other than having to add a couple of number to the end when I once more started to use my surname as a handle a few years ago.

Semetsu is a play on the word senmetsu, and actually for a bit was my real nickname. I have a bad habit of saying words that closely resemble other words very wrongly , usually causing embarrassment. My friend used to always say "Senmetsu" under his breath every-time I did that (it means Annihilation, or in this context , I butchered it).; however, one of these occasions some new friends we were with heard him and thought he said "Semetsu" and so the nickname stuck, it being a bad pronunciation of the word itself.

I had recurring dreams of me growing wings/ flying etc.. In the last few "wing dreams" I fell in love with a mermaid, but alas I belonged in the air, and she to the sea. T_T
So I had mutations done to me so that I was essentially a merman with wings and I could "fly on waves."

So yeah... I distorted it a bit and I had a name!

Kenny is short for my name (Kenneth) the ge part comes from......idk, I remember when I was younger I imagined I would be the person who stepsup to be the person who risks his own life to save the world when it was about to end, so I got into shape and everything and I have the looks (that doesnt contribute what so ever to anything) and someone called me a strong G which is where I got ge. Put them together and u get Kennyge. I am, "The One They Call Kennyge", the man destined to be a hero...........in another life after several other lives,

hehehe. But yea. I always visioned that I would be the person saying the world has turned and left me. But yea. This is my very first post on the forums, thank you.

Wintereise is just a "r' struck out from Winterreise. Pronounced Winter + reise
In german, the meaning would be "One who travels in winter"

well, I don't generally use this nick, but for some reason I wanted to be semi-covert

hmj = jmh which stands for JedimindhaX (my irc nickname)

bgl = beagle, the HMS Beagle, but also the type of dog Porthos (Captain Archer's dog from Star Trek: Enterprise) is.

I figured it would make for a nice balance between jedi = star wars and star trek. idno.

I've had so many nicknames though, so this explanation is kinda pointless I guess, but I just figured I'd make a post

You must have an incredibly creative mind. Whether it's a conscious or subconscious thing of course! haha

Mine? Ehh... not that interesting. Just a play on words of my lastname... as I've gone through much sh!t.

But then again sometimes I have some good streaks of luck, sooo... it fights right in at both cases. :3
(Plus nobody ever goes by it... so it's nice to have a secure username)

Well my real name is Daniel, and some time ago, some girl started calling me Dalle. (With the a from Oompa, and the e being something like the french sound for "eu")
Then a friend of mine was joking around, at a party, saying how much he loved me, and then he told everyone that he had made a new nickname for me, because it was much cuter (to show people how cute I was). The new nickname was Dallie
Unfortunately someone has already taken that nick, so without giving much thought to the fact that we might get mixed up, I chose Dalliez. ^^

it sorta gets in the way, if im thinking of something it relates to something else and that takes over the thought process in my "Inner Mind Theatre" and plays out (it's like an anime but in your head XD) then I have to write it down because it's usually AWESOME.But I never get things done which is a pain...

At my old job, at some point they put me in charge of refunds and since I was alone in that department, I was like a damocles sword, if the customers were being nice I was giving refund, if they were yelling or threatening I was denying their refund. In the Office they started to call me Evil Louis (Louis being my first name, well part of it) and still during that period I was browing google and saw a picture of a koala with a machete. Feeling that an Evilkoala would perverse the view of a gentle animal, I immediately adopted that nick on MSN and subsequently I have signed my Gaki no Tsukai fansubs with Evilkoala, getting a certain notoriety. So I have now adopted that nickname since then.

Long, long, long ago (like 10 years), I was watching the Ranma 1/2 episode The Abduction of P-Chan and thought Mikado would make a good Screen Name. But I took it to the next step, I messed with it abit and Nikaido was born.

I then started making Anime Music Videos several years later and decided to make a surname for Nikaido, and after some half-a**ing I came up Hirachi. And that's where my banner comes from. Which I should probably replace with a bigger sized file.
