It's not shoujo, let me tell you this much. It was adapted into anime, and then even had a second season(+ova), albeit some people would prefer if the second season never existed.
Also, I mentioned the name of this particular girl, and I think name of the series too, in one of my forum posts, you can try to find that if you're desperate.

Nah, they do, when I post something easy then answers are quick. But when something is really too hard, request the hints. I don't like to double post, so I usually wait until I'm sure no one knows.
