That's quite a serious accusation, and as a member of Taka, I'm quite offended. I'd imagine our translators probably would be too. Taka Fansubs DOES NOT, has never, and never will, use another groups' subtitles. You'd think our translations were different enough to make this obvious...

EDIT: We also don't "put into a container", as we hardsub...

Well, I apologize for offending you. My source has evidently got their information wrong.

Again, I apologize for such an offensive accusation.

If by "too slow" you're referring to our first episode release of FMA, that should hopefully not happen again with episode two; there was a bit more time to get up and running with the new series than anticipated. If you're referring to our normal release speeds (keeping in mind Naruto 101-102 was something of a fluke), then I guess that's that :)

Lupin:
i do hope you have a consistent (and faster) release period. shinsen and gss released theirs two days ahead of you guys while eclipse was ahead by a day.

eclipse and gss has comparable (or even greater) quality and they released theirs faster than you guys. and they are bigger and more popular (and beter) than you guys are.

Guspaz:
Any time there's a new OP/ED, that causes a big delay (witness Naruto 103-104, we're way behind on that. Both double-length, *AND* new OP/ED).
FMA (episode 1) also had a new OP/ED, and also introduced a new resolution. So there were some changes to our production pipeline for that. We also tossed in some nice AFX (the speech bubble) that nobody else seemed to do, so that caused some delay too (had some issues with it, know how to avoid the problem in the future). And, of course, starting on a new show always has issues, since you're just not used to working on it.

FMA (episode 2) will make some drastic changes to our video production pipeline, and so that *might* cause delays that we won't have in the future. We're hoping that any delays caused by this will fit inside of existing buffer periods where we're blocked on something else.

I don't think we're ever going to get stuff out on the same schedule as Eclipse, GSS, Shinsen, etc. Those guys are pros who have been at this for ages, and we just don't have their insanely enormous level of experience. So don't expect miracles :)

One thing to keep in mind; we're technically speedsubbers, but that doesn't mean we won't release something until we're satisfied with it. If there are some issues we'd like to work out, we don't just release whatever we have, we iterate on it until we're satisfied that the problems are resolved.
