I feel so bad for Sasazuka "Do you understand? This is british-style, go stand in the hall way". That teacher just keeps picking on him for no reason, lolololololoololol.

Anyways, slice of life in any genre pwns. <33 I've started watching this very late at night, from episode 00 (probably intro or whatever) and episode 1. I needed something to relax my mind from Shikabane Hime Aka and Bounen no Xamdou.

The teacher is KICKASS. I don't understand WHY he's such a douche, but it's funny.

I've always praised this show. It's hilarious at times. I believe the second OVA should be coming out soon if not already.

I'm still hoping for a 2nd season at some point but we will see.

And the scenes with the teacher and the boy always getting randomly sent out was great as it was so random :p lol the teacher would finish a random sentence then unrelated send out Sasazuka for no reason at all

2 Years of WoW and couple of months to add onto that affected my anime rythem alot. So I'm playing alot of catch ups (hint with the new threads/reviving related and old threads). I still have anime from couple of years ago I haven't seen but was recommended to watch it.

I'm not quite sure why I'm the only one who finds this show to be the most hilarious anime I've seen, but I do. It needs a second season.

Haha, I'm glad for that too. All of the action/dramas that I prefer are wearing me out... so I'm following your lead on these slice of life series that you're watching

Yeah, it's probably in my top 5 funniest of all time. I rank it up there with Azumanga Daioh and Lucky Star as one of the few shows which actually had me laughing at my TV. (Which is rare...)

I didn't know many of you liked this series. Well, that's good! I'm always free for any slice-of-life type of anime. I dunno, I just like them alot.

Episode 5 ended and still going ... I'm open for slice of life series like this if anyone's got suggestions. I'm burning for some.

Have you watched Sketchbook ~full color'S~? I really love that one, it's like Aria, except set in the present day.

Also, TALKING CATS!

A rather avant garde slice-of-life is Windy Tales aka Fuujin Monogatari, it's quite awesome and has interesting art (may take a little getting used to). The only slice-of-life anime by Production I.G so far. Also, FLYING CATS!

PS If you've already watched them, sorry, I only checked your website for info on your collection.

Both of these are up on Box as well as being unlicensed (I got them off a DDL site).

I got both for Sketchbook ~full colors~. I think that was one of the very first series that I got into for slice of life, and I have to admit I didn't like it and the reason, most likely, because slice-of-life was something new to me and I didn't understand what it was. I started to get my way down there right from NHK. I may give it another shot or I may just the second season. And about my website, I am going to have to update it this weekend with the stuff that I have seen. I love snap shots >_>;; My website is flooded with them.

I think you're getting Sketchbook mixed up with Hidamari Sketch. They're totally different. Sketchbook is much more quirky, relaxing and wonderful IMO.

guess i'll check here. I had had this list in my list of stuff to d.load eventually, i heard it was just a cute ez to watch slice of life. Well i was asking over int he recomendation forum for stuff to watch with my 4 year old niece and someone recomended this. Im not really sure if it would hold her interest since she likes stuff with fantastic settings and characters (howls moving castle, spirited away), or anything with fairies or animals in it. Regular people tend to bore her.

still, it does look cute. The only problem was that lime seems to be the only group that did a dub track. The thing is, i see some comments on them putting inapropriate comments in the episodes o_O can anyone clarify what they put in? Its hinted they are inapropriate for children and thats kinda the goal with this.

So would this be good for a 4 year old? Its refered to as a cutesy azumanga Daioh, woudl that be accurate? If so i'll give it a look myself but do the nizzk version if these comments are inapropriate.

this was the onlyt hread on it i could really find so figured id ask here instead of making a whole new post. Not that much discussion on it which makes me think its not as amusing as i initially heard =P

The show would not be watched by 4 year olds, if that's what your asking.

But it is in the same vein as Azumanga Daioh as far as jokes go. Nothing more 'dirtier' than that. Though, Azumanga isn't for 4 year olds either. They're basically the same caliber show, aiming at the same audience.

thats pretty much what i wanted to know then, tnx =) i know AD isn't aimed at 4 year olds, i had been under the impression this was just the same kinda random school-life/wackiness formula as AD but way more kiddy.

I wasn't referring to the show being dirty, i heard that LIME sub group inserted some dirty lines into the show, i think durring the comercial breaks. I was curious what they were. Does anyone know? I guess its a bit moot then, i'll probably just get teh nizzk version here, but im still wondeing what they did

One of them claimed that the group's name stood for "Lolis Increase My Erection," to give an example. But yeah, actual little girls would be bored by Strawberry Marshmallow. It's more of a show for adults to watch, relax, and be taken to a cuter, more innocent world.
