Or even better example: off of H-Games, Like school days, so the Anime has some obligation to show what the original author wanted.

Even Rosario Vampire, while being fairly ecchi in the manga, was far too overdone in the anime.
I think the difference between fanservice and ecchi is whether or not you feel they're doing it to waste time.

Agreed in that case that the anime has more, but often its just the opposite. Tenjo Tenge is a great example.
Nikkoru:
The manga style is more conducive of those fan-service images, the artist can dedicate a certain portion from each chapter to some kind of fan-service shot, depending on the space available and the genera - and if they can't fit it in they use inserts and covers.
It's troublesome to bring it to anime, because with the medium change you're far more aware of the passing of time.

you guys are all american-ized. stop watching the fanservice shows if you dislike them this much.
i appreciate fanservice as much as they view it, uncensored.
Nikkoru:
I don't mind it, I just don't think it should interfere with the quality of the anime - and it gets redundant.

Pandering to fans is pretty common in modern Western animation (think something like Family Guy or The Simpsons). It doesn't lean towards sexual content but it amounts to the same. It's even a trend in many computer animated movies. I'm pretty sure I remember the last Shrek movies getting faulted for worrying too much about focusing too much on the "nudge, nudge, wink, wink" sorta mentality and not enough about the plot.
Either way, an anime centered around sexual fan service still comes across as a weak hentai. =/
