I kind of feel like im in the same page as some of you.

Maybe cause I grew up? I dont know. . .work friends n school arent the same now than how they were back in the days of wow (first one).

School mostly. . .now i DO have to study (for those who visit the "help w homework" thread.)

I like playing Aion. . .but I dont feel addicted as  I did while playing WoW.

Havoc10K:

Er, I meant "If 99% of MMORPGs are very similar, just with a different wrapping, why are we comparing them all to WoW? Why not just call them an MMORPG?"

Probably should've been more specific, sorry about that. >_>

Even if you remove the non-MMORPGs, you've got still a large portion of MMOs that would not fit the description of what is usually called "a WoW clone". While "WoW clones" are trendy right now, there is still a large sample of sandbox MMORPGs out there that are so unlike WoW's design (Asheron's Call, SWG, Ultima Online and EVE Online just to name four).

It's probably not the best term but it's a term most people understand, and it has a use.

Havoc10K:
and thus a thread about Aion, went in the direction of WoW-Clone definition, hmm, close ? or go back to the main topic ?
