MX air totally WTFPWNZ G500. . .
I feel very comfortable with the way it works so Ive never actually tried
I also had the MX500 but I never really went into creating special profiles (i hope you mean the controls in the mouse) for aion. . .whats on your mind to change for "convenience" ?
and my old MX500 and MX600 dont work on vista =/ (the logitech suite that is)

I want to assign two of the three keys at the thumb's position to "open inventory" (that somehow works) and to "auto run". "Auto run" doesn't work because when I use the assigned key, my character watches a bit to the right (when I open my inventory with the key (s)he looks to the left) and in the options, it also says that the keys are "Alt+Leftclick" in the case of "auto run". Tried it, didn't work. Well, I don't want it to work that way. I want to use the assigned keys :(
The G500 has a program which recognizes the programs' .exe-files but (as I had found out with the help of the internet) the NCSoft launcher uses a .bin-file to start Aion. So, no recognition.

Now that there's a decent amount of 50s, I must say this is getting really good. Fortresses are crazy fun, and there's quite a bit of competition from both Asmos and other legions on Elyos. Dredgion is a blast. There's a lot more players in the abyss now, and usually you can find some pvp. I think Aion is going to take a hold of the niche PvP MMO and hold onto it.
There's a rumor going around that NCWest is going to take over development of the game from now on and it'll be separate from the KR version. I really hope that it stays just a rumor.

I'm finding the game to be mildly annoying the more I level. I just hit 30 with an Assassin. My observations so far as a melee class:
1) Aggro is a bit screwy at times. Just one example: I was fighting a mob near someone else fighting a similar mob, then mine called for help, pulling my neighbors mob to me. I've had this happen a few times now; combine it with respawns and mobs being too close together in the first place, the occasional intentional or unintentional training of mobs by boneheads, and soloing can be deadly all too frequently if you're not on your toes.
2) Doesn't seem like there are enough solo quests so far. I've found myself grinding a bit here and there, as I don't usually do a lot of group quests. (Doesn't help that I'm not a big fan of pugging and my legion has mostly outleveled me, but that’s no one’s fault but my own.) Quest XP mostly sucks IMO compared to XP from killing mobs.
3) Lag, lag, lag. Ugh. It makes what PvP I’ve done so far frustrating, as even when it looks like I’m on top of someone, my attacks aren’t firing when I key them. And, pretty much as expected, PvP while leveling means about 80% of the time, you’re getting attacked by someone 6-15 levels higher than you. The aerial combat is interesting, but I just don’t like having a flight time limit.
4) Rifts. Outgoing rifts never seem to spawn in the lower level parts of Morheim when I’m in the zone.
5) Gathering is fine, and the crafting system is OK, even if it’s monotonous. I think the drop rate of weapon fluxes needs to go up dramatically.
6) Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but it feels like mob damage on my leather-wearing guy is a bit too high, and occasionally too spiky. I generally keep my gear at all greens, all +1 enchants, no lower than 2-3 levels below my level, and at least 50% of my pieces are usually my level or 1 lvl less. It strikes me as odd when a single mob 2 levels below me can get a string of lucky shots and beat me to half HP or less from full. The net effect is, if I get attacked by a second mob while fighting the first, I’m usually popping a potion. Maybe I just need to start ponying up more $ for better gear, but I don’t like the idea of spending a lot on gear that’s just going to get replaced in a few levels.
I’m still not sure if I’ll be playing Aion in 3 or 6 months, but for now it still has my interest, at least until I see what endgame is like.
