1) Aggro is a bit screwy at times.  Just one example:  I was fighting a mob near someone else fighting a similar mob, then mine called for help, pulling my neighbors mob to me.  I've had this happen a few times now; combine it with respawns and mobs being too close together in the first place, the occasional intentional or unintentional training of mobs by boneheads, and soloing can be deadly all too frequently if you're not on your toes.

I have a different opinion. . .or experience. . .
I think is dumb to be able to pull a mob (humanoid) from the middle of a crowd. ..
in WoW I remember perfectly that say you pull a dude and if he ran past another dude both dudes would come and kill you. . .that is perfectly logical.

but say. . .im an elyos. . .and I see that an asmodean is pulling another elyos behind me. . .and instead of helping my fellow elyos i keep roaming around !

. . .
I have a templar and dmg is no problem to me ;D Ive been good even when the mobs call for help from their mobby friends.

tip:
always fight near a ramp. . .if worse comes to worse just glide out of battle!

I don't have a problem with a mob aggroing another mob that's not already in combat as he runs past it... that's perfectly reasonable if, say, I make a bad pull or something.

I do have an issue with the mob I'm fighting calling for help and actually pulling a mob that's already in combat off of another player that he's already fighting.  Conversely, I've been fighting a mob only to have it suddenly run off and attack someone else, when that other player's mob has called for help.  I call shenanigans on that!

Screenshot time! I finished up my Miragent set tonight. I got the last piece of the armor last night, and finished up the weapon today. It's almost all pvp from now on for me.

Yes.. I'm a sorc with 8.2k HP.  ;D I stacked 20x HP +85 manastones in my armor and put in 4x MB +25 in my weapon. It's quite funny when I'm rifting and some assassin thinks he's tough and jumps me. Also funny when I run into Resist Magic stacked players who still get trucked because of my absurdly high Magical Accuracy from this set / using a Tome. The Miragent set has a surprising amount of evasion on it. So much that I contemplated stacking Evasion +15 manastones in my armor, which would put my evasion around.. 1860, which is really high for this early in the game. I opted for HP because I would eventually have to switch to it once more players had higher accuracy.

I use that 'trick' to train bots all the time. I aggro a few mobs, run them over to the bot, and just sit and laugh as the bot gets its ass kicked.

Pulling in this game can be very tricky. One thing you need to know is that when a Templar uses Inescapable Judgment to pull it reduces the mobs aggro circle when it's pulled. So you can get widely varying results from a different class pulling. I found that out the hard way early on. Also make sure to check other mobs around the one you want to pull first. Watch aggro circles, different types of mobs will have different size circles and different ranges at which they'll chain. Many headaches can be saved if you pull stuff in the correct order.

Edit: If you're a ranger, I hate you. Just thought you'd like to know.

2) Doesn't seem like there are enough solo quests so far.  I've found myself grinding a bit here and there, as I don't usually do a lot of group quests.  (Doesn't help that I'm not a big fan of pugging and my legion has mostly outleveled me, but that’s no one’s fault but my own.)  Quest XP mostly sucks IMO compared to XP from killing mobs.

3) Lag, lag, lag.  Ugh.  It makes what PvP I’ve done so far frustrating, as even when it looks like I’m on top of someone, my attacks aren’t firing when I key them.  And, pretty much as expected, PvP while leveling means about 80% of the time, you’re getting attacked by someone 6-15 levels higher than you.  The aerial combat is interesting, but I just don’t like having a flight time limit.

4) Rifts.  Outgoing rifts never seem to spawn in the lower level parts of Morheim when I’m in the zone.

5) Gathering is fine, and the crafting system is OK, even if it’s monotonous.  I think the drop rate of weapon fluxes needs to go up dramatically.

6) Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but it feels like mob damage on my leather-wearing guy is a bit too high, and occasionally too spiky.  I generally keep my gear at all greens, all +1 enchants, no lower than 2-3 levels below my level, and at least 50% of my pieces are usually my level or 1 lvl less.  It strikes me as odd when a single mob 2 levels below me can get a string of lucky shots and beat me to half HP or less from full.  The net effect is, if I get attacked by a second mob while fighting the first, I’m usually popping a potion.  Maybe I just need to start ponying up more $ for better gear, but I don’t like the idea of spending a lot on gear that’s just going to get replaced in a few levels.

I’m still not sure if I’ll be playing Aion in 3 or 6 months, but for now it still has my interest, at least until I see what endgame is like.

If you're already faltering - you'll be doing more as soon as you hit the top.    From what I'm hearing - Aion is exactly what I said it was.   So - who here has hit the top already ... if anyone.
