I'm on season one, episode 5. I've got one thing to say ... girls, with weapons ... are freaking hot. For a 2003 anime, it will deserves a praise. They've done an extremely careful job on the animation. I'm impressed. I wonder how the 2nd season will be (2008) and I have it and the OVA as well.

And I love girls with weapons, they're just so hot. The bigger the weapon, the hotter they are (Black Rock Shooter anyone?!).

With this anime, I have officially become a lolicon.

I wouldn't call Gunslinger Girls loli; not after seeing two episodes of Strike Witches. Strike Witches is loli

don't think I have seen the OVA yet, alot of people hated the second season, I can sort of understand why, it was'nt near as good as S1, but I still like it

I really enjoyed season 1, haven't had a chance to watch season 2 yet. I wouldn't call them loli either

Triella (sP? The blond with the side ponytails or whatever) was pretty hot though *nod*

Gunslinger Girl is as depressing as Saikano though. Just thinking about it makes me want to watch FLCL or something silly stupid to make me feel better.

Gunslinger Girl was one of the first fansubs that I watched that got me hooked onto anime. Impatiently waited each week for the next release by Triad.

Being new to anime, this series didn't give any awkward loli feeling. Then I downloaded a fanmade ISO of it, while it had a lot of neat extras, like the specs of all the weapons used, the fan pics were a different story. I kept wondering, why did they make her pose like that? Lol, but that mild suggestiveness was nothing compared to what I was about to see as I watched more anime.

I've yet to see the second season; not wanting to ruin a good thing.

i got dips on triella! get away from her. she still got most of her organs *ahem*.

edit -- about season 2, as long as its NOT dump episodes (fill ins) like To Love-Ru then I am certainly, and clearly, fine with that.

Seriously, she's the only character who doesn't "look" like a loli... so it's only natural for me to like her the most

There really needs to be more of her in the series though

went to take a nap around 10 PM, woke up around 2:30ish AM, got up, ate something, bathroom break, came back and decided to surf Box, TokyoTosho and other places and watched Gunslinger Girl ... on episode 12 right now, 30 minutes till I need to get dressed to go to work.

Has anyone ever done something like that?! ... This is like my .... 9th or maybe 10th time I've ever done something like this.

yea finished the entire first season ... suprizingly, not that great. just a bunch of cyborg girls, with weapons, cool animation and life-like gun style everytime they shoot. and i expected a bit more, i'll sure hit the 2nd season as soon as i get home.

Am I the only one that thought that GSG just DRAGGED on for too long? I found it kinda tedious to get though the first two episodes. I put it on stall for that. >_> I'll go back to it when desparate. It felt like Noir in slowness.

First 3 episodes did, but then it picked up rather well. I'm gonna start season 2, now.

Damn it, someone PM me when Toradora gets completed by a GOOD fansub. ;/

edit -- I just saw the first 10 minutes of season 2, i can tell why people weren't happy with it. The anime certainly lost alot of original parts from the first season. Animation and colors were done cheaply. The sound and music is awful, new voice cast of characters?! ... Where did all the seriousness go from those girls and those men as well? I'll keep watching, but season 2 feels awful enough already.

yeah, there are quite few who changes the original and made it alot awful.. and I hate it when the animation and colors were done cheaply... as if they run out of funds.. T_T

Haha!! It is true that I prefer *ahem* as well, but for this show, I'm completely serious about it, its one of the few shows that I've re-watched more than 3 times and its still good.
